Vintage Haversack

Not a joke. These are serious vintage, U.S. Army infantry haversacks from the Spanish-American War era, made circa 1898. They’re a dark khaki, 14″ square x 4″ thick, with drawstring closures. They have slender internal pockets along both inside edges and (2) 2″ wide x 10″ deep pockets bracketing a 9″ wide x 10″ deep pocket on the inside of the flap. The flap itself has a strap and buckle and will still bear its original stenciling, which may be “U.S.,” crossed rifles, a cavalry-unit number, a combination thereof, or some other unique identification.  Super cool satchel for your stuff…
